Super Falcons of Nigeria have been drawn against Australia, Canada and the Republic of Ireland for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

In the draw ceremony which was held in Auckland, New Zealand, the Super Falcons were placed in Group B for the global women’s football showpiece.

The Super Falcons were handed a tough draw which will see them face Canada, the Olympic champions, who they lost to earlier this year.

Randy Waldrum’s ladies will also play Australia, one of the host nations, backed by the formidable ruthlessness of Sam Kerr. Ireland is also one of the highest-ranking European sides.

The ninth edition of the Women’s World Cup is scheduled to take place from July 20 to August 20, 2023, in Australia and New Zealand.

It will be the first time two countries will host the competition, and the tournament will see the Women’s World Cup expanded from 24 to 32 teams.

The Super Falcons have qualified for all the editions of the World Cup and will be hoping to surpass their 1999 quarter-final feat in Oceania.
