Workers attempt to jump as fire guts 12-floor WAEC Lagos office
A fire outbreak has been reported at the West African Examination Council National Office, Haba, Lagos.
It was gathered that firefighters from the University of Lagos and Yaba College of Technology have arrived at the scene of the incident to put out the fire as of the time of filing this report.
An eyewitness said some workers of the Council are believed to be trapped on some floors.
A report said some of the trapped workers were seen trying to jump through the windows of some of the floors of the 12-storey building but were persuaded to wait to be rescued escape.
The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
