Obaseki announces N70 minimum wage in Edo

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, has authorised a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants in the state.
The governor announced this while inaugurating the new Labour House in Edo State on Monday.
According to him, the anticipated minimum wage will come into effect on May 1st, 2024.
Recall that the organised labour had been insisting on N615,000 as the minimum wage.
