Rep sponsors marriage of 105 ladies orphaned by banditry

A Federal lawmaker representing Maru/Bungudu Federal Constituency in Zamfara State, Abdul Malik Zubairu, has sponsored the marriage of 105 orphans whose parents were killed by bandits.

The occasion which took place on Saturday in Bungudu town, the headquarters of Bungudu Local Government Area of Zamfara State was attended by prominent personalities both within and outside the state.

The married couples were provided with beds and bedding materials by the lawmaker, in addition to N10.5 million paid as dowry for 105 brides.

Zubairu also provided the sum of N100,000 for each of the 105 bridegrooms and N50,000 to each of the 105 bride to enable them start business of their choices.
