President Bola Tinubu will address Nigerians on Sunday in a nationwide broadcast at 7 am.

A statement by Ajuri Ngelale, presidential spokesperson, said television, radio, and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to plug into the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.

The presidential broadcast is coming amid the #EndBadGovernance protest, which commenced on Thursday in many parts of the country.

The 10-day demonstration is a protest against the economic hardship in the country.

In the northern part of the country, the protest has been marred by violence, looting, and destruction of public and private properties.

In the south, the protest has been largely peaceful.

On Saturday, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) asked Tinubu to immediately address Nigerians amid the ongoing nationwide protest.

The PDP said the president’s silence has worsened the agitation.

“It is indeed worrisome that President Tinubu could remain silent as Nigerians are on the streets demanding good governance, protection, security, and welfare, which are the primary purposes of government,” the PDP said.
