LASG reconstructs road to President Tinubu’s Bourdillon Lagos home, diverts traffic
The Lagos State Government says it will be diverting vehicular traffic away from Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi.
President Bola Tinubu Lagos home is located on Bourdillon Road, Ikoyi.
The statement signed by Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the state Commissioner for Transportation explained that the road would be closed between 9am and 5pm on Saturday 24th August and 9am to 12noon on Sunday 25th August, 2024 for construction work on the corridor.
He added, “In light of this diversion, an alternative route has been mapped out for motorists plying the corridor.
“Motorists on Bourdillon Road heading towards Falomo Roundabout are advised to turn right at Lateef Jakande Road to Onisiwo inwards Oniru Road to link Thompson Avenue Roundabout into Thompson Avenue and make a right turn into Bourdillon again to proceed with their journeys.”
Osiyemi explained further that motorists on the lane inbound Alexander Avenue from Falomo Roundabout would not be affected by the diversion.
He assured Lagosians that the diversion would be managed by the state Traffic Management personnel, urging motorists to cooperate with the interventions put in place.
The commissioner added, “Motorists are implored to be patient as this diversion is part of the Traffic Management for safety of Motorists during the construction work.”
