Policemen rescue AIG Odumosu’s wife, kill kidnappers
Policemen attached to the Ogun State Police Command have rescued Sikirat, the kidnapped wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG Hakeem Odumosu.
The policemen also killed the kidnappers, and recovered the ransom paid to them.
The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, stated this on Thursday.
Adejobi, who said the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, had reacted to the development, wrote on his X handle, “BREAKING: Police Neutralise AIG Hakeem Odumosu wife’s kidnappers, recovers ransom.
“The IGP has commended the Police Operatives and CP Ogun State, Lanre Ogunlowo, for a good job.
“We are committed to safeguarding Nigerian citizens and our dear country.”
Recall that Sikirat was kidnapped as she made to enter her home in the Arepo area of Ogun State last week Wednesday.
She was attacked by four masked men when she was about to enter home around 9.30pm.
The assailants were said to have dragged her from her Lexus Jeep and escaped through swampy areas.
