Super Eagles striker, Victor Boniface, has passed medical check-ups ahead of his move to Al-Nassr of Saudi Arabia.

According to SkySport Germany, Bayer Leverkusen have agreed to a €60 million deal with the Saudi club for the 24-year-old.

Boniface will earn wage of around €15 million net per season at Al Nassr.

The reports of the Riyadh club in the Akure-born striker gained ground a few days ago, with Al-Nassr looking to replace the departing Talisco.

On Tuesday, Xabi Alonso, the Leverkusen manager, confirmed that negotiations were ongoing between the two clubs, with Boniface at the heart of the trade.

The Al Nassr deal came just a week after Boniface had signed a contract extension with the Bundesliga champions until 2026.

Upon confirmation of the move, Boniface will become the second most expensive departure in Leverkusen’s history after Kai Havertz, who moved to Chelsea for €80 million five years ago.

He will join Cristiano Ronaldo, Sadio Mane, and Aymeric Laporte, among other stars, at the Middle Eastern club.

Boniface joined Leverkusen in July 2023 for €20.5 million. He scored 14 goals in 23 league matches, helping Leverkusen win the Bundesliga without losing a game.

The striker was also named the league’s Rookie of the Year award after winning the prize’s monthly equivalent on four separate occasions.

Although he had been ruled out with a thigh injury since November, Boniface has scored eight times in 15 games for the German team.
