“Act Sports Di Oyibo Limited coming in to manage my career is a right step in the right direction as I have now found in them a strong partner to back me in my efforts to grow in teqball, as well as teach it to others,” he said.

Oyemade’s profile in the sport which was invented in Hungary has been rising steadily over the years as he keeps thrilling audiences across the world with his unique talent.

The Nigerian won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the teqball world series which took place in Vietnam in 2024, with 64 teams participating.

Teqball has also been steadily gaining popularity in Nigeria with the setting up of the Nigeria Teqball Federation (NIGTEQ).

The duo of Engr. Habu Gumel and Hon. Ndudi Edede currently head the Federation as president and vice-president respectively.

The game which combines elements of table tennis and volleyball is played on a curved table usually with two players engaging themselves from both ends in a singles match, while two  players could engage each other with similar number of opponents from both ends of the table in a doubles match.

Points are usually deducted from a player who either touches the ball with his hands or allows it to drop to the ground, and given to his opponent as penalties.
