EFCC arrests E-Money for alleged currency abuse

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Emeka Okonkwo Daniel, aka E-Money, for allegedly violating currency regulations.
He was apprehended on Monday night at his residence in the Omole area of Lagos for reportedly spraying US dollars, as well as naira at a public event, an act considered a breach of the Foreign Exchange Act and an abuse of naira.
Sources within the EFCC said preliminary investigations are ongoing, and he will be charged to court upon conclusion.
E-Money has been flown to Abuja for questioning.
The EFCC spokesman Dele Oyewale, has yet to release an official statement on the arrest.
