Cristiano Ronaldo appears set to leave Al-Nassr but has ruled out retirement for now.

Less than an hour after Ronaldo scored in Al-Nassr’s final game of the Saudi Pro League season, the 40-year-old said “this chapter is over” in a social media post – hinting he won’t play for his current side again.

He did not say what his next move would be, though, amid links with Major League Soccer, Chelsea and his first club, Sporting CP.

Ronaldo won his first trophy with Al Nassr and the club’s first-ever Arab Club Champions Cup title after scoring two fantastic goal tw in a 2-1 extra-time win over fellow Saudi side Al Hilal on Saturday at the King Fahd Stadium.

Ronaldo, who scored 99 goals in 111 games for Al-Nassr, will have a short break before preparing for Portugal’s Nations League semi-final against Germany on June 4.

The former Real Madrid ace is likely to provide an update on his future in the coming weeks.
