After Monday’s disappointing start against the Bayana Bayana of South Africa, the Super Falcons are back on track at the ongoing Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
The Super Falcons on Thursday night, defeated Botswana with two goals at the Prince Moulay Al-Hassan Stadium.
The two goals were scored by Ifeoma Onumonu and Ucheibe Christy respectively.
Meanwhile, Banyana Banyana of South Africa have qualified for the quarter-finals after defeating Burundi 3-1 in their second Group C game on Thursday.
It is now a back-to-back victory for South Africa who opened the tournament with a win against champions Super Falcons of Nigeria.
