EFCC arrests three suspected vote buyers in Anambra

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says its operatives have arrested three suspected vote buyers in Anambra State.

The suspects – Emeka Ilokasia arrested at Ward 2, Njikoka Local government,  Anambra;  Nwachuwu Loretta, arrested at Ward 2(008), Awkuzu, Oyi local government and Emuka Chuwudi, arrested at Umunachi village, Dukonukofia local government –  were arrested while allegedly perpetuating the fraud in the state governorship election held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, according to a statement by Dele Oyewale, Head, Media & Publicity, EFCC/

Oyewale added, “They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.”
