AGN members elect Dayo Amusa as National Vice President

Nollywood actress and producer Dayo Amusa has been elected National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) following the guild’s national elections on Saturday in Benin City, Edo State
The elections, which drew members from across the country, aimed to strengthen leadership and enhance the representation of Nigerian actors.
In a statement released by her media team on Monday, December 8, 2025, Dayo Amusa expressed gratitude for the trust placed in her.
“My emergence as the AGN National Vice President is a testament to my unwavering dedication, leadership qualities, and longstanding commitment to the growth and integrity of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,” she said.
She added that the confidence shown by guild members inspires her to bring renewed creativity and administrative excellence to the Secretariat.
“My tenure will be marked by transparency, innovation, and impactful service that will inspire both current and future members of the Actors Guild of Nigeria,” the statement read.
Dayo Amusa, known for acting in and producing several films including the Yoruba movie Dewunmi Iberu, revealed her plans to leverage her new role to champion the interests of Nigerian actors and ensure the movie industry contributes meaningfully to national development.
