Akume’s son Samuel weds sweetheart Deborah

There was joyful celebration on Saturday in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, as Samuel Aondoakura Akume, son of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, married Deborah Ershima, daughter of Engineer Msula Atoga, in a modest ceremony.
The private wedding drew close family members and dignitaries.
Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the reception as representative of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and was received by the SGF alongside the Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia.
Though deliberately low-key, the ceremony reflected a warm atmosphere, with prayers offered for the couple as they begin their marital journey.
Among others present was the groom’s mother, Chief Mrs. Hanmo Dajor, former wife of Senator Akume.
Recall that the wedding is coming shortly after Senator Akume’s recent marriage to Queen Zaynab Otiti Obanor (Ngohemba) and the cultural activities that marked her homecoming to Gboko, adding to what family associates described as a season of thanksgiving and personal milestones for the Akume family.
