The City Boy Movement has appointed the Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Baffa Dan’agundi, as its North-West Zonal Coordinator.
The Movement is nationally coordinated by President Tinubu’s son, Mr. Seyi Tinubu.
The City Boy Movement is a political support platform established to promote the vision, leadership, and progressive ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The Movement focuses on youth mobilisation, grassroots political participation, civic education, and community-based empowerment initiatives aimed at strengthening democracy and good governance in Nigeria.
This is contained in a statement by Aminu Abba Kwaru, Office of the Director General NPC on Tuesday.
“The appointment comes in recognition of Dr. Dan’agundi’s growing political influence, exceptional grassroots mobilisation capacity, and sustained contributions to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political movement across the North-West zone.
“Dr. Dan’agundi played a pivotal role during the 2023 presidential campaign, most notably in the historic “One Million March” rally held in Kano State,” the statement said.
It noted that the march was the first of its kind in the state, and marked a major turning point in galvanising mass grassroots support for President Tinubu.
“Despite his subsequent appointment as Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Dan’agundi has remained deeply connected to the grassroots.
“He has continued to implement empowerment programmes and social intervention initiatives across the North-West, reinforcing public confidence and consolidating support for President Tinubu’s administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement further noted.
Speaking on the appointment, the National Coordinator of the City Boy Movement, Mr. Seyi Tinubu, described Dr. Dan’agundi as a dependable and result-driven political leader.
