Tinubu swears in Disu as substantive IGP

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially sworn in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police.
The swearing-in ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The Nigeria Police Council on Monday had endorsed Disu, after his appointment by Tinubu.
Recalls that Disu was appointed on February 24 after the resignation of former IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
President Tinubu decorated Disu the following day with the new rank of IGP.
The Wednesday ceremony was witnessed by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu; Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
Others present were the Minister of Police Affairs, Senator Ibrahim Gaidam; FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike; and Head of Service, Mrs Esther Walson-Jack and other cabinet members.
