Omar Mamoush’s second half doubled guided Manchester City to a 3-1 win over Newcastle United to seal their passage into the quarter finals stage of the FA Cup.

The fifth round fixture at St. James’ Park was an entertaining encounter that saw Harvey Barnes put the hosts in front with a well-stuck curling effort early on, but Pep Guadiola’s side pegged back the Magpies with Savinho’s equalizer before halftime. Marmoush completed the turnaround with the brace, putting City ahead on 47 minutes before sealing the win on 65 minutes.

The Cityzens are joined by Chelsea who came from a goal down twice to force extra-time where they scored two further goals to win 4-2 against ten men Wrexham. Alejandro Garnacho and Joao Pedro’s extra-time goals broke the hosts’ heart after Arthur Okoronkwo’s own goal and Josh Acheampong’s strike had cancelled Wrexham’s earlier strikes.

Their London neighbours Arsenal was the first to confirm their sixth round participation with a 2-1 in at Mansfield thanks to Eberechi Eze’s second half winner.
