Shettima visits survivors of Maiduguri bombings at UMTH [PHOTOS]
Vice-President Kashim Shettima has visited the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH) to commiserate with victims of Monday night multiple bomb explosions in the Borno state capital.
The police said 23 persons were killed and 108 others injured when explosions went off at three different locations in the city during the breaking of fast by Muslims.
In furtherance of President Bola Tinubu’s directive, Shettima on Wednesday visited the survivors of the bombings at UMTH where they have been receiving treatments.
Stanley Nwocha, presidential spokesperson in a post shared on X, said Shettima mourned those who lost their lives, sympathised with the injured and expressed the federal government’s solidarity with the people of the state during this challenging time.
