The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially recognised the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party backed by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

The electoral body reflected the update on its official platform, listing Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary, alongside other members of the party’s national leadership.

The development follows the PDP national convention held in Abuja, where the new leadership emerged through a consensus arrangement after the dissolution of the party’s caretaker committee.

Other members of the NWC include Aaron Chukwuemeka (Deputy National Chairman, South), Yusufu Akirikwen (Deputy National Chairman, North), and Umar Bature (National Organising Secretary), among others.
