The Ogun State Police Command has intensified security surveillance across the state as the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) gathers momentum.

On Friday, the Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni of the state command, lead a high-level inspection of Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres.

Ojajuni, accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of Operations, DCP Bolanle Muritala, toured multiple JAMB-accredited CBT centres to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of security deployments.

The inspection was to make sure that candidates sit for their examinations in a safe, calm, and intimidation-free environment.

The visit also served as a real-time audit of operational readiness, crowd control measures, and officer responsiveness at the centres.

Ojajuni expressed satisfaction with the conduct and professionalism of officers on duty, noting that the safety of students remains a top priority.

He assured parents, guardians, and stakeholders of adequate security coverage throughout the examination period.

He also urged candidates to remain orderly and cooperate with security personnel to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
