A former governor of Ogun State and Senator currently representing the Ogun East Senatorial District at the Red Chamber, Gbenga Daniel, was on Monday prevented from gaining access to the meeting held by the Ogun East caucus of the All Progressives Congress in Ijebu Ode.
It was gathered that Daniel who got to the venue in a white bus was locked out by persons suspected to be loyalists to the state governor.
The meeting started by 10am and the former governor was said to have arrived at the Adeola Odutola Event Centre venue of the gathering ahead of the stated time.
He was however, prevented from gaining entrance as the gate was shut immediately his vehicle was sighted.
It was said attempts by some leaders of the party to allow OGD, as Daniel is fondly called, to enter the venue fell on deaf ears.
His supporters were said to have started hailing OGD at the top of their voices, but it made no dent in the determination of this who locked the former governor out.
