Alli emerges APC governorship candidate in Oyo

Former minister of power, Adebayo Adelabu, has lost the governorship ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo state.

Adelabu resigned from President Tinubu’s government to contest against Senator Sharafa Alli who has been reported to be the anointed candidate of the president.

Alli emerged winner of the Oyo State APC gubernatorial primary election in a landslide victory, polling an impressive 578,143 votes.

Senator Buhari came second with 37,265 votes, while Adelabu, secured 19,193 votes.
