A Nigerian sports marketing and promotional outfit, Act Sports Di Oyibo Limited, has launched another football academy in Ghana.l

The move is in fulfilment of it’s partnership agreement with Italian team, Torino Football Club to discover, groom and expose football talents from both countries.

Just like what the company did when it launched a similar academy in Lagos a few weeks ago, a young team comprising of 22 players and technical crew was unveiled in Elimina, a commercially vibrant town in Ghana’s central region, early this week.

The team is managed by one of Ghana’s most experienced coaches, Alexander Acquaye Jr. who had a successful football career, with stints at top European and Asian clubsides during his active playing era.

He is complemented by the duo of Nicholas Anamoah Arthur and David Justice Koufie who play the roles of Team Manager and Head of Scouting respectively.

Coach Kofi Day Arku-Banson is also an active member of the technical crew.

The Director of Act Sports, and the main representative of Torino FC in Africa, Pastor Samuel Robinson Oyibo said he was excited about the company’s latest achievement.

“The launching of this academy which is simply to be known as the Act Sports + Torino Football Academy is yet another chapter in our quest to open up more opportunities for our young ones with talent in football to leverage on their passion and fulfill their potentials in the sport,” he said.

“The Elimina, Ghana branch of the Act Sports group of academies marks yet another chapter in our quest to export the very best of  Africa’s football talents overseas. I see our current efforts yielding bountiful dividends now and in the future,” he added.
