Actor Jimi Odukoya is G.O of Fountain of Life Church

Jimi Odukoya, the son of late Bimbo and Taiwo Odukoya, has been named the senior pastor of the Fountain of Life Church, Ilupeju, Lagos.

The Senior Pastor in FOLC is popularly called the General Overseer in other Pentecostal churches.

The announcement of Jimi Odukoya’s appointment was made during the church service on Sunday.

During the service, a pastor, Rotimi Okpaise, revealed that the late Taiwo Odukoya had shared his succession plan with the board of trustees before he passed away.

Okpaise said the BoT unanimously elected Jimmy as the senior pastor and chairperson of the board.

“The board has chosen Saturday, September 30, 2023, as the date of Jimmy’s installation,” he said.

Taiwo Odukoya, the church’s founder, died on August 7, in the United States at the age of 67.

He died less than two years after losing his second wife, Nomthi, a South African, on November 9, 2021, following a two-year battle with cancer.
