Again, NCDC records five fresh COVID-19 cases in Rivers, Lagos

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control says the country has recorded five new COVID-19 infections from February 25 to March 31.

The agency said four of the cases were recorded in Rivers, while one was recorded in Lagos.

According to the latest situation report by NCDC, which was released on Saturday, 266,665 cases have been confirmed up to date, 259,951 patients have been discharged and 3,155 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the federal capital territory.

“The five new cases are reported from two states – Rivers (4) and Lagos (1), four states with zero cases reported are Abia, Kaduna, Kano, and Nasarawa.

“A multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 2, continues to coordinate the national response activities,” the agency said.
