Alumnus visits former primary school, others with awards (Update)

The Otunba Olaide Lateef Kazeem Education Trust (TOOLKET) Award for the primary school category kicked off on Tuesday, 29 July and concluded on Thursday 31 July 2025.
According to Otunba Lateef Kazeem, an alumnus of Christ Church Porogun Primary School and founder of TOOLKET, the awards are permanent yearly recognition to the best Primary Six learner in selected schools.
Porogun schools used to be one school before the government split it to three. The Editor-in-Chief of threditorial.ng is also an alumnus of the school.
Kazeem said the inaugural TOOLKET award attracted seven primary school, adding that Christ Church Porogun Primary Schools 1,2, and 3 were part of the initial beneficiaries of the initiative.
In a post on Porogun schools WhatsApp platform, Kazeem added, “Each beneficiary took home a certificate to commemorate their achievement in addition to a N50,000 cash prize. This initiative is meant to motivate, encourage, and inspire our young ones to embrace academic excellence early in their academic journey.
