Anthony Joshua has resumed training in the gym after surviving a recent car accident that claimed the lives of his two associates.
Joshua sustained minor injuries in the crash, which occurred on December 29, on the Lagos–Ibadan expressway, with Kevin Latif Ayodele, the boxer’s personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, his strength and conditioning coach, dying at the scene.
A Lexus SUV, conveying the former heavyweight boxing champion and his late friends, rammed into a stationary truck at the shoulder of the expressway.
Joshua was treated in Nigeria before he was discharged and returned to the UK, alongside the remains of his friends.
He was also present at the funeral prayer for his Latif and Ghami, held at a mosque in London.
Joshua has shared posts of himself training in the gym, just 19 days after the accident.
In one of his sparring videos, he captioned the workout session “mental strength therapy”.
The 36-year-old then continued to strength training, spinning and a bit of swimming.
