Super Eagles Midfielder, Joe Aribo, has said he is focused on Nigeria’s 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Sierra Leone amid transfer rumours linking him away from Glasgow Rangers this summer.
The attacking midfielder, who is currently on international duty with Nigeria, has attracted interests from the Premier League, with Aston Villa and Crystal Palace leading the race for the 25-year-old.
As reported by Football London, Crystal Palace, are preparing a bid worth £25m for the Rangers’ midfielder.
“I’m not focused on that,” Aribo replied reporters in Abuja after the Eagles’ training on Tuesday, when asked about his future.
“Right now I’m with Nigeria, so I’m just focusing on playing with my country and representing my country,” he said.
Aribo didn’t hit the heights he is known for, after returning to Rangers from the 2021 African Cup of Nations in January.
But the midfielder was back to his best for The Gers and netted the opener for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side in their Europa League final shoot-out defeat to Frankfurt last month.
He also led the line as Rangers ended their Scottish Cup drought with a 2-0 extra-time triumph over Hearts at Hampden Park three days later.
Aribo scored nine goals and made 10 more in 59 games last season.
