Bandit says soldiers, politicians are next targets of attacks

An online video has captured a bandit speaking in the Hausa language and threatening more attacks across the country.

In the footage, the armed man claims responsibility for the abduction of students in Kebbi and Niger States and said further Nigeria’s security forces and political leaders are next targets.

Speaking in Hausa, he says, “We have already kidnapped students in Kebbi and Niger. We will soon start kidnapping soldiers and politicians; there is nothing the government can do about it.”

This video is coming just days after several recent abductions were reported in multiple states. Authorities have not yet officially commented on the video.
