Buhari signs 2023 budget, promises to speed up project completion nationwide

President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has signed the 2023 Appropriation Bill into law.

Buhari signed the 2023 transition budget on Tuesday at the Council Chambers of the Presi-dential Villa, Abuja, in the presence of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, Senate President Ah-mad Lawan, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other mem-bers of the Federal Executive Council.

The President said his regime would speed up completion of critical infrastructure projects nationwide as it raced toward the finish line on May 29, 2023.

He noted that the budget is N21.83tn aggregate expenditure, an increase of N1.32tn over the initial executive proposal of N20.51tn.
