Children’s inappropriate skit: Mr. Macaroni urges caution, proper guidance
Skit maker Mr Macaroni has addressed controversy surrounding a video of children re-enacting his popular “Daddy Wa” skit.
The video sparked outrage online, with many calling it inappropriate for kids.
In the re-enactment, children were dressed in adult-like attire, playing roles that mirrored Mr. Macaroni’s sugar daddy character, an interested young lady, and his wife.
Adults criticised the video, expressing concerns about its potential impact on children’s perception of intimacy and relationships.
On X, Mr. Macaroni urged parents and guardians to exercise caution when involving children in content creation.
Mr. Macaroni’s statement reads, “Dear parents and guardians, I understand the urge to want to make the most out of our uniquely talented children. I, however, strongly believe that we must apply caution while doing so. We must showcase their talents in ways appropriate for their respective ages. We must put our children first and groom them right. That way, we are able to develop the durability and longevity of their talent as opposed to a short viral moment. We owe them and our society that guidance. My love always.”
