Some indigene of the Ijebu area of Ogun State have created a hotline to alert security agencies against security concerns in the area.

In a Facebook post, the Idera Foundation owned by Chief Dapo Okubadeji, alerted residents to the hotline .

The foundation said virtually all the security agencies in the state are connected to the phone number.

It assured residents of response to responsible tips.

The move signals what could henceforth become a trend as Nigeria and Nigerians continue to suffer the consequences of insecurity.

The post reads partly, “If you live around Ijebu Ode and Akilẹ Ijebu (the 6 Ijebu LGAs), you can call this number {0700 700 7770} when you have/notice any security concerns. Save and share.

“The number is the Ijebu Security Hotline which connects people in distress directly to the security agencies;  Police, DSS, ARMY, AMOTEKUN, NSCDC.

“The Ijebu Security Hotline is a privately funded Initiative by the IDERA FOUNDATION. It is powered by Chief Okubadejo @Dapo_Okubadejo and other Ijebu sons & daughters.”
