Ekiti participants shine at World Bank-sponsored technical teachers’ training

Ekiti participants shone like million stars at the recently concluded programme for Technical Teachers and Instructors in Ibadan Oyo State.
The training was sponsored by the Federal Ministry of Education in conjunction with the World Bank between 3rd and 21st February.
Ekiti State participants came home with laurels in different vocational & technical categories.
The participants came home with five different prices in different categories.
Olatunji Olubunmi Christian, GTC Ijero-Ekiti, got a Laptop; Bode Oguntoye Bunkunmi also of GTC Ijero-Ekiti got a gift in Digital Skills; Olusegun Joseph Adekoye of GTC Ikole-Ekiti receiving a laurel in Electrical and Electronics; Ogunlade Tawakalt Tumininu also from GTC Ikole-Ekiti got a special laurel in Building Construction; Babalola Samson Kayode of GTC Otun-Ekiti won in Agricultural Mechanics.
The winners all received laptops as their prizes.
In his reaction, the Chairman Board of Vocational & Technical Education Hon. Babade Kayode said he was happy at the performance of the Ekiti State delegation.
He added, “This shows that the governor’s effort and investment in Technical Education is yielding positive result.”
He urged the participants to work harder to bring more laurels home in future.
Tokubo Adeparusi, a member of Ekiti State Board of Vocational & Technical Education, said the feat showed that Ekiti State is the bedrock of Technical Education in Nigeria.
The SSA to the Governor on skills and Vocational Education, Odetola Ayodeji, stated that Ekiti State is the bedrock of Technical Education.
“We lead while others follow,” he added.
He praise the administration of the present governor if the state for his laudable assistance for Vocational and Technical Education.
