Ekiti recruits teachers, targets rural area primary schools

The Ekiti State Government on Tuesday announces its readiness to employ teachers for primary schools in the state.

The State Universal Basic Education Board in a statement said NCE and degree holders would be employed.

It added that many of the teachers might be sent to rural areas, warning that those who did not want to go rural areas should not apply.

The statement signed by the Ekiti SUBEB Board Chairman, Prof. Akinwunmi Femi, reads partly, “The Ekiti State Universal Basic Education Boardi nvites suitably qualified NCE and Education degree holders to apply for appointment as teachers in the state public primary schools.

“Interested and qualified candidates are to apply free of charge online at https://www.ekitistate.gov.ng/jobportal/. Online registration/application commenced  at 12 midnight on Wednesday  21st December, 2022, and closes at 12 midnight on  Wednesday  4th January, 2023.

“Candidates are to print out their forms after completion of the online application.  The print out will serve as entry passes  into the examination halls during the recruitment test.

Candidates who are not ready to serve in the rural areas of the state or where their services are required need  not apply.”
