FG commences emergency repairs on Lagos-Sango-Otta-Abeokuta Road after Abiodun starts rehabilitation on same road
The Federal Government has commenced emergency repairs on a critical 7km stretch of the Lagos-Sango-Otta-Abeokuta road.
The announcement was made by Uchenna Orji, Special Adviser Media to the Minister of Works.
The announcement is in contrast with the one of the Ogun State Government, which recently announced the rehabilitation of the same road from Brewery in Abeokuta up to the old toll gate in the Sango area of the state.
Governor Dapo Abiodun shared the work into five points which were given to five concerns in order to finish the work in 18 months.
However, Orji highlighted the Federal Government dedication to resolving the infrastructure challenges affecting commuters.
, stating, “The road has been bad for some time, and the Federal Ministry of Works is bringing relief on the dilapidated sections in conjunction with the concessionaire.”
The repair initiative is part of the broader ‘Operation Free Our Roads’ programme aimed at improving federal road conditions across Nigeria.
Orji emphasized, “The Federal Ministry of Works is committed to providing relief to motorists and commuters on all the federal roads nationwide.”
