Five male adults, one female adult and one female child died in Oyo auto crash – FRSC

Seven persons died on Thursday, while 15 others sustained injuries in a road accident around Ijaye on the Ibadan-Iseyin road.

The accident was said to have happened after Ijaye town in the Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The Deputy Corps Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Oyo State Sector Command, Tunde Adewale, stated this at the state Sector Command office, Eleyele, Ibadan on Friday.

He explained that the accident involved two vehicles with the number plates Nissan SEY 254 XY, Nissan and LGB 343 XA Mazda bus with 22 occupants.

He said the occupants of the vehicles were eight male adults, 12 female adults and two children.

The DCC explained further that five male adults, one female adult, and one female child were confirmed dead in the accident.

He said, “The accident involved 22 people. Seven died and 15 were injured. The two categories were commercial vehicles. They had a head-on collision as a result of a heavy rainfall after Ijaye town.

“Five male adults, one female adult and one female child all died in the accident.”
