Fusengbuwa rejects K1 De-Ultimate’s claim for Awujale throne, says no family linkage found

Wasiu Ayinde
The Fusengbuwa Ruling House of Ijebuland has rejected K1 De-Ultimate’s claim to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland throne, saying there is no reasonable proof that he was connected to the next family in line to produce the new Awujale.
In a letter signed by five leaders of the ruling family, the Fuji musician was told that that his claim was null and void and subsequently rejected.
Those who signed the letter sighted by theeditorial.ng are Otunba Lateef Owoyemi (Chairman), Otunba Adedokun Ajidagba (Deputy Chairman), Chief Fassy Yusuf (Vice Chairman), Pastor Prince Bola Salami (General Secretary), Otunba Akinola Odedina (Head of Jadiara Royal House), and Alhaji Adebisi Quadri (Co-Head, Jadiara Royal House).
The letter was titled, Re: Submission of Completed Fusengbuwa Ruling House Members Particulars and Linkage Form
It reads, “We write to confirm the receipt of the above completed form dated 10th December 2025 and signed by your good self. Curiously, the form was certified by a purported family unit head, one Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Oduneye Eruobodo on 8th December 2025, two days before your good self signed it. In other words the form was pre-signed.
Please permit us to reply as follows:
- The form was not signed by the authorised representative (Family Head) of your purported Family Unit Head;
- Omoba Adetayo Abayomi Eruobodo is not a registered member of the Jadiara Royal House and therefore, has no locus standi to sign and linkage on befall of the family; and,
- Our extensive investigation has not revealed any proof of your membership of the Jadiara Royal House or indeed that of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House.
Consequently, the completed linkage form is hereby declared null, void and of no consequence. For the avoidance of doubt, your claim to the membership of the Fusengbuwa Ruling House is rejected and the completed form is of no consequence.
Please accept our best wishes for your future endeavours.
Recall that KWAM 1 recently formally submitted a completed royal lineage form to the Fusengbuwa Ruling House, reaffirming his claim to the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland throne
His submission follows an ultimatum from the ruling house, which requested that he fill out the standard genealogy form required from anyone seeking recognition as a legitimate member of the family.
