Government warns Lagosians of night traffic diversion in Sura area

The Lagos State Government has announced a night traffic diversion plan on Sura Ramp inward Osborne to facilitate asphaltic laying of the section of the road.

The repair work is scheduled for Wednesday, August 21, 2024 between 10pm and 4am of Thursday, August 22 , 2024.

A statement from Mr. Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the state Commissioner for Transportation, explains further, “To manage the traffic inflow to the affected section during the repair works, Motorists from the Third Mainland Bridge will not be able to turn right to access Osborne, they will move straight to Obalende or Onikan to continue with their journeys.

“Similarly, Motorists from Sura will not be able to access the ramp, they will turn right to connect Onikan and continue their journeys.

“ADVISORY; Motorists are implored to be patient as the diversion is part of the traffic management plans for the on-going rehabilitation works and asphalt pavement of the road section.

“We apologize for any inconveniences this may cause and appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”
