A business woman, Mrs. Akamagwuna has cried out to Nigerians, especially First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, to help fight her fight breast cancer

She says with Tinubu and other Nigerians’ financial assistance, she could survive cancer and “live again if you assist me”
According to her, the last four years have been traumatic for her family after she was diagnosed with cancer.
She said she had been rendered invalid by the ailment and could no longer go about her normal activities without aid.
After her family has exhausted all their resources towards her treatment, Mrs. Akamagwuna is seeking financial assistance from well-meaning Nigerians so that her life will not be cut short.
The woman, who spoke with our correspondent over the weekend, said, “I want to live. I know that I still have more than three decades to live, if only people can help me to fight the breast cancer that is eating me alive, which will cost N8 million, and my family cannot afford it.
“My husband is a businessman who cannot afford such an amount of money. My family cannot afford the money either. We have sold everything, including landed property, but all that we have been able to raise ended in failed treatment.”
She told our correspondent that she needed about N8 million to begin new treatment that will end the breast cancer ailment.
She said she  has sent sent a save-our-soul messages to Delta State Governor, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori; the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu; Senator Ned Nwoko; corporate organisations, Ubulu-Uku indigenes, Anioma people and all well-meaning Nigerians to come to her rescue.
Akamagwuna, a native of Ubulu- Unor, in Aniocha-South Local Government Area of Delta State, needs urgent financial support and prayers so that she will not die.
On her hospital bed, Akamagwuna said, “I wish to inform Nigerians that I am facing death because of lack of finance. My husband and my family have expended all we have to sustain me. I have been down for four years, praying to God that succour would come, but it seems that nothing is changing, except Nigerians help me to prevent  my early death.
“I am still very young and I know that God can use you people to make me live again. My being alive today shows that God wants me to live.
“The cost of staying alive is now way beyond my family’s means. I, therefore, seek your help, dear brothers and sisters, to surmount this terrible illness. Please, don’t let me die.”
Her husband, Mr. Augustine Akamagwuna, said, “She was diagnosed with breast cancer in September 2020 at the National Hospital, Abuja, where we immediately commenced treatment at the Oncology Clinic. She underwent 13 sessions of chemotherapy and 10 sessions of radiotherapy throughout 2021.
“Unfortunately, following these treatments, her condition worsened significantly, leading to a 21-day admission.
” During this period, she was placed on platelet concentration transfusions; five doses, each costing ₦231,000, amounting to a total of ₦1,155,000. It was during this admission that her doctors informed us that surgery was no longer possible as the cancer had already spread.
“She was later discharged and placed on a specialised diet. Sadly, in February 2025, the cancer resurfaced with greater severity. We returned to the National Hospital, where she is currently receiving care at the Oncology Clinic.”
The most recent medical reports reveal that the cancer has now spread to her spinal cord and lungs.
“Her doctors have recommended a new course of chemotherapy and radiotherapy, estimated to cost ₦4.5 million, excluding other necessary drugs and additional unforeseen expenses.
“Tragically, I lost my job in 2023, and since then we have been surviving solely by the grace of God. We are currently unable to commence this crucial next phase of treatment due to a lack of funds and as each day passes the disease continues to progress.
“I sincerely plead for Nigerians ‘ financial support to save my wife’s life. Any assistance you can provide will make a tremendous difference in this desperate time.
