If I’m not fighting Tyson Fury, I’m not fighting at all, says Usyk after beating Anthony Joshua

Oleksandr Usyk on Sunday said he wanted to have a bout with WBC champion Tyson Fury after his victory against Anthony Joshua.

He spoke after his boxing rematch with Anthony Joshua, which was held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The fight was tagged ‘Rage on the Red Sea’.

Usyk wqn the rematch by a split decision to retain the heavyweight titles.

Joshua was awarded a 115-113 decision by the first judge. However, Usyk is awarded it 115-113 and 116-112 by the other two judges.

Usyk, who dedicated his victory to his country and the Ukrainian military, said, “I did this victory for my country, for all people, militaries who are defending the country. Thank you very, very much.

“This is already historic. Many generations are going to watch this fight, especially the round when someone tried to beat me hard, but I withstood it and turned it in a different way.

“I’m sure that Tyson Fury is not retired yet. I’m sure, I’m convinced he wants to fight me. I want to fight him and if I’m not fighting Tyson Fury, I’m not fighting at all.”
