Ikpeazu mourns death of Senator Ohuabunwa’s wife

The immediate past governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has expressed deep sadness over the death of Mrs Nimi Ohuabunwa, wife of Senator Mao Arukwe Ohuabunwa, few days ago.
Ikpeazu, who described the death of Mrs Ohuabunwa as shocking and devastating, said, “I knew her personally. She was an extremely pleasant woman who exuded lots of warmth, friendship and camaraderie. She was a powerful pillar of strength and support to my dear brother and friend, Distinguished Senator Mao, whose pain at the time can only be imagined”.
In a statement by, Sir Onyebuchi Ememanka, the spokesman to Ikpeazu, the former governor urged Senator Ohuabunwa to dredge up sufficient courage and strength at “this most difficult moment of his life, from the realization that death is a destination that awaits every mortal being.”
“The memories of their union, the children and the powerful legacies they built together over the years should now serve as soothing reminders of the beautiful life they had together, as well as provide substantial motivation to trudge on,” Ikpeazu added.
The former governor, on behalf of his family, sent his sympathies to the Senator and prayed the Almighty God to grant her soul eternal rest.
