Islamic preacher, Muyideen Bello dies at 84 years

Popular Nigerian Islamic lecturer and preacher, Sheikh Muyideen Ajani Bello, has died at the age of 84.

His death was confirmed by his son, Katibi Abdul Basit Olanrewaju, popularly known as Aponle Anobi, today, December 6th, 2024.

He took to his Instagram page to share the Sheikh’s picture with a tearful emoji.

Another Islamic sheikh Taofeeq Akewugbagold also confirmed his death via his Facebook page as he penned his tribute to late Muyideen.

He wrote, “Today is one of my saddest days ! My father and mentor, has returned to his creator. SULTONUL WAHIZEEN of Yorubaland Sheikh Muhyideen AJANI BELLO, may Allah be pleased with your soul. Aljannah fridaos for you.

“Our heart is full of grief and our eyes full of tears but we will say nothing but what will please our Creator the sole commander of life and death – ALLAH.”

Alhaji Muyideen Ajani Bello was regarded as one of the richest Alfas in Nigeria.

He was a highly respected Nigerian Islamic scholar and cleric, celebrated for his eloquence, profound understanding of Islamic theology, and dedication to promoting religious education.
Born in the mid-20th century in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, he established himself as a prominent figure in the Muslim community both nationally and globally.
