JUST IN: Eriksen agrees to join Man United

Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen has agreed in principle to sign for Manchester United on a free transfer.

The Dane returned to the Premier League back in January, penning a short-term deal with Brentford after leaving Inter Milan.

His performances have attracted plenty of attention given he is now a free agent.

The Bees had hoped to retain his services but the player has accepted a three-year proposal at Old Trafford.

United have been keen to add recruits in the middle of the park and are now drafting up a contract for Eriksen, who will also complete a medical.
