JUST IN: UNILORIN appoints new Vice Chancellor

Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole has been announced as the new Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.

Egbewole who becomes the 12th VC of the University takes over from Prof. Sulyman Age Abdulkareem who was appointed in 2017.

Wahab was announced as the new vice chancellor by the Governing Council at press briefing held at the Council chamber of the University on Thursday evening.

Chairman of the University governing council, Mallam Abidu Yasid, made the announcement.

Yasid said that Egbewole emerged after rigorous screening of 13 professors undertaken by the council in the last four days.

Egbewole is a Professor of International Law and Jurisprudence and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria.
