Kano arrests two civil servants for employment fraud
The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has arrested two civil servants for alleged employment fraud
The commission also invited three permanent Secretaries for questioning over their alleged involvement in the scandal.
The Commission’s Chairman, Muhuyi Rimin-Gado, said on Thursday that the ongoing investigation into the scam was aimed at exposing and bringing to justice all those responsible for the fraudulent sale of employment forms.
He pointed out that thousands of job seekers were deceived by those involved in the employment fraud.
“The state has taken decisive action against employment fraud in the state by arresting two suspects and inviting three permanent secretaries for questioning,” he said.
He added that the state government had entrusted the commission with conducting a thorough investigation, and preliminary findings point to fraudulent activities in multiple agencies.
He explained that the two suspects currently in custody were cooperating with the ongoing investigation which sought to prevent corruption and ensure justice is served.
