Kano Muslims pray against insecurity, seek stability, peace
Some Muslims in Kano, the Kano State capital, on Tuesday gathered at the Pyramid Radio FRCN Mosque, on Audu Bako Way, for special prayer against insecurity in some parts of the country.
The evening prayer, led by the Imam of the mosque, Malam Dauda Lokon-Makera, also sought God;s intervention for peace and stability in the state.
The congregation, in addition, decreed a lasting ban on tricycle operation from 10pm to 6am by the Kano State Government.
Lokon-Makera said, “It is incumbent upon us to pray for peace and stability to prevail in Kano, because this is where we live, work, trade and conduct all other activities for our daily survival
“The ban on the operation of tricycle riders from 10pm to 6am by the State Government is a welcome development as it will go a long way in tackling the pockets of security concerns being witnessed in the night, especially in Kano metropolis.”.
The faithful also prayed for the end the poverty and other vices affecting the people.
