Kidnapped Ondo surveyors freed after N20m ransom payment

The nine Surveyors abducted last week at a site in Ilu-Abo, in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, have been released.

Sources said a ransom of N20m was paid.

A brother to the Ejemikin of Akure, High Chief Oluwole Omotayo, Pastor Ajibade Owolanke, confirmed release of the surveyors.

Owolanke said the surveyors were freed on Tuesday night and were in Akure, the state capital.
