Labour Party wins Bauchi council election without fielding candidate

Labour Party (LP), on Saturday, won the Bogoro Councillorship Election in Lusa B Ward, Bauchi State, without even fielding a candidate.
According to the Bauchi State Independent Electoral Commission (BSIEC), the Labour Party received 2,200 votes, the highest number of votes cast in the election.

Many people were surprised at the outcome because the party did not field a candidate in the election.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Lucy Ahmadu Yusuf, came second with 2,168 votes.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Mbam Masoyi, trailed behind with 275 votes.
The Returning Officer, Daniel Gambo, announced the results at the collation centre in Bogoro.
