Lagos’ Annual Thanksgiving Service holds Sunday, Jan 8

The Lagos State Government has said the “Annual Thanksgiving Service” organised by the state government will hold on Sunday, January 8, 2023.

A statement by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Gbenga Omotoso, added that the event slated for 3.30pm will hold at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.

Omotoso stated further that the 23rd edition of the “Annual Thanksgiving Service with the theme: ‘Praising The Name of God,’ will have the General-Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and Ministers of the Gospel from various churches in the State, at the inter-denominational Service.:

The statement by the Lagos Commissioner for Information and Strategy reads partly. “In line with tradition, the First Family of Lagos State, will lead Lagosians in prayers and songs of praise to usher in the new year.

“The event will be beamed live on major television and online media platforms.

“Thousands of residents are expected to be part of the inter-faith and inter-denominational Thanksgiving Service.

“The Lagos State Annual Thanksgiving Service was initiated over two decades ago in the year 2000 during the administration of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.”
